Terms of use
The French version of this page is authoritative. Last updated: 2 October 2026.
1. Purpose
Human Quill (humanquill.io) rewrites texts to give them a more natural tone. The service is published by a private individual, on a non-professional basis (see the legal notice). By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms.
2. Account
- Rewriting requires an account, created by signing in with Google. An account is personal.
- The service is intended for people aged 15 and over.
- You are responsible for the security of your Google account and for what is done with your Human Quill account.
3. Free service and its limits
- The service is free, within a number of words per day and per text shown on the site (“Languages & settings”). These limits may change.
- For now, only French and English texts are rewritten.
- At busy times, requests go through a queue. The service may be interrupted, changed or discontinued at any time, with no availability guarantee.
- A paid offer may be added; it will be governed by separate terms of sale.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit unlawful content (incitement to hatred, harassment, defamation, infringement, etc.);
- submit sensitive personal data about other people;
- circumvent the limits of the service, use it in an automated way (bots, scraping) or undermine its security.
You alone are responsible for how you use the rewritten texts, including complying with the rules of your school, employer or publisher on the use of artificial intelligence.
5. Your texts
- You remain the owner of the texts you submit and of their rewritten versions. You confirm that you have the right to submit them.
- You allow us to process them to provide the service and to keep them in your history (30 days at most), as described in the privacy policy.
- They are used to improve the model only if you ticked the box provided for this purpose; you can untick it at any time.
6. Results
Rewrites are produced automatically by a language model. They may contain errors or change the meaning of the original text: review them before using them. No guarantee is given as to their accuracy, their fitness for a particular purpose, or how detection tools will classify them.
7. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damage related to its use, nor for how rewritten texts are used. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.
8. Suspension and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your account menu. The publisher may suspend or delete an account that does not comply with these terms.
9. Personal data
How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.
10. Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top of this page is then updated. Continuing to use the service means you accept the new version.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first; failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to consumer protection rules. For any question: contact form.
